Our
Company Argen-Pesca, Inc., a company whose business is designed and run by its owners, has a history of over ten years of successful operation. To date, Argen-Pesca has exported thousand tons of frozen fish products. At present, the company's operate whit ships fish solely for hake, and other ships fish for flounder and other species found along the shores. Our combined fleet is capable of catching enough fish to meet all of our production needs. State-of-the-Art Technology Our main processing plant is located in Mar del Plata, strategically close to the main fishing areas of the South Atlantic. This 7,000-square meter plant boasts state-of-the-art equipment: Baader machines; Trio, a classic line for packing and freezing products either in blocks or interleaved; a brand-new line that includes Koppens and Stein equipment, used for the production of shaped and breaded products; a continuous freezing tunnel used for all kinds of Individually Quick-Frozen (IQF) products; a line with the capability of forming and packing products as well as sealing bags; a Scanvaegt classifier/portioner that can weigh products within a very narrow weight range as well as prepare the contents of bags and packages with a high degree of control of their net weight. This machine also includes a metal detector and a weight verifier. In addition to basic equipment such as sheet freezers and static tunnels, other kinds of complementary equipment are available at our plant, including washing machines for boxes and frames as well as sealing machines. The addition of newly acquired equipment has resulted in the increase of our production capacity to 12,000 tons a year. Temperature requirements are met by a recently purchased automatic Frick system. The storage capacity for pallets is 1,200 tons, which, in conjunction with the reliability of our refrigeration plant, allows us to offer freezer service to other companies. From on-board operation to product shipping, our quality-control system qualifies our plant to export our products to the most demanding markets of the USA and the EC. In addition to Argen-Pesca,
our main brand, which earned a name for itself in USA and EC
markets during years of operation, our company has acquired Melior,
a prestigious name brand. This line of products is currently being sold
on the domestic market, and all products are attractively packaged for
direct retail sales. |
